FAQs - Trading
Do I need a paid plan to place live trades?
Yes. A trial or paid plan is required to unlock live trading through a connected broker, see Brokers & Set Up for the full flow.
What's the difference between MIS and NRML order types?
MIS (Margin Intraday Square-off) is for intraday-only positions that are auto-squared-off before market close. NRML (Normal) is for positions you intend to carry overnight, subject to your broker's margin requirements. You can set your default order type in Trade Preferences.
Can I set a default quantity so I don't re-enter it every trade?
Yes, set a Default Quantity and an optional Maximum Quantity in Trade Preferences; you can still change the quantity per order when placing a trade.
How do Stoploss and Target work on Stolo?
Both can be set as Points, Percentage, or absolute Price, either manually per trade or as symbol-wise defaults, see Stoploss Preferences and Target Preferences for the full configuration options, including auto-placement and auto-trailing.
Can I trade multi-leg strategies, not just single options?
Yes, the Strategy Builder supports pre-defined and custom multi-leg strategies with live payoff visualization before you place the order.
Which terminal should I use for fast, intraday trades?
The Scalping Terminal and Intraday Terminal are both built for quick entries and exits; the CE & PE Strike Charts terminal is useful when you need to watch several strikes at once.
