An option chain is a listing of all the call and put option contracts available for a given underlying security, organized by strike price for each available expiry date. It typically displays the premium, open interest, implied volatility, volume, and bid-ask spread for every strike. Traders use the option chain to compare strikes, spot unusual activity, identify heavily traded levels, and plan entries and exits for their strategies.
