The fixed price at which an option can be exercised to buy or sell the underlying asset.
The strike price (also called the exercise price) is the price at which the holder of an option can buy (in the case of a call) or sell (in the case of a put) the underlying asset. It is set when the option contract is created and remains fixed throughout the contract’s life. The relationship between the strike price and the current market price of the underlying determines whether an option is in the money, at the money, or out of the money.
